UKULELE OKLAHOMA CITY
OKLAHOMA CITY'S #1 UKULELE PROVIDER
THE OKLAHOMA CITY UKULELE SCENE
The Great Plains of the USA. You’d be hard pressed to find a more vast, majestic landscape anywhere around the world. The rolling fields and buffalo that inhabit these lands make for an idyllic setting for anyone who enjoys the mysteries of nature. A big part of this area is situated in the state of Oklahoma and nestled right in the middle is the ever-growing Oklahoma City. Famous for their large livestock markets and water-taxis in the Bricktown neighbourhood, this city has seen its share of hardships as well but has risen above it in true American fashion.
How about them Ukes, you may ask? Well you’re in luck. The OKC Ukulele Group meets once a month in what they describe as a “Uke Group Extravaganza”. Melicent King is your host at this event and by the looks of things these folks eat, sleep and breathe all things ukulele. Sound like your kind of jam? You can reach the OKC Group on their Facebook page which is listed below.

This workshop focuses on learning to play well in groups (isn’t that what we all want) and all levels of skill are welcome. Bring loads of energy and suggestions as Mr Howard claims that they can play and teach any song you can think of. Quite the ambitious one there!
