UKULELE MIAMI
MIAMI'S #1 UKULELE PROVIDER
THE MIAMI UKULELE SCENE
Sun, sea and surf. Think of Miami and (without giving your age away) you can almost see Don Johnson chasing after evil-doers in his immaculate white blazer, hopping over sunbathers and skipping through the streets in Miami Vice-fame. Thousands of palm trees line the streets and combines with the tropical climate to make this city in the Sunshine State one of the most sought-after holiday destinations. With a serious Latin influence, Miami rates as a top musical and cultural hub in the USA and its diverse range of people have brought all sorts of influences to these shores, including the merengue from Dominica and Reggae from the Caribbean islands.
Got your new Bondi Uke and not sure where to go in Miami? Well, a good place to start off would be the folks at the Florida Ukulele Network Miami. Another very viable option would be the Florida Ukulele Network (F.U.N.) in Palm Beach. This lively group meets once, sometimes twice a month for strum sessions and all are welcome, regardless of your ability. They also have open-mic nights at specified venues where you can strum your Bondi Uke to your heart’s content. Their sessions also include educational sections where some of the more experienced members can assist you with your progress. This group can be contacted on the link listed below.
